PRATHAM SOPAN SYLLABUS
LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF;
- Be able to tell correctly “your duties at home”.
- Be able to make your bed.
- Know he health rules regarding personal cleanliness.
- Learn B.P.Six exercises and practice Yoga/Asnas/Surya Namaskar .
- Stitch a button.
- Clean/Police Canvas/leather shoes.
- Make a personal first aid kit and know its contents.
DISCIPLINE:- - Learn about your Patrol, its Flag,Yell,Song ,Cry, Patrol Corner ,Patrol Call and participate in Patrol in Council.
- Learn and practice Hand and Whistle signals.
- Foot Drill, Savdhan, vishram, aram se ,dahine, bayen and pichhey mud.
- participate in a Troop& patrol game.
ROPE WORK:- - Whip the end of a Rope.
- Tie and demonstrate the use of the following Knots- Reef Knot, Sheet band ,clove Hitch, Bow Line, Sheep Shank, Fisherman Knot, Round Turn & Two Half Hitches.
- Tie and demonstrate Sheer Lashing Mark I & II .
- Make a Gadget or handicraft useful at home.
SERVICE:- - Undertake a Troop service project in your school or scout headquarters under the guidance of your scout master.
- Should know the definition and the golden rules of First aid.
- Deal with simple cuts, Burns, and bleeding from the nose.
- Undertake household responsibilities like cooking, water storage,hospitality,cleanliness etc.with the help of Parents for a week.
- Participate in the following activities-
- Discuss with your Scout Master and render some service involving any one of the points of scout law and submit a report to your Scout master.
- Undertake a Nature Study Project in consultation with your Patrol Leader and submit the report within ten days.
- Visit a Village Panchayat Samiti/Block Development/Municipality/Municipal Corporation Office and learn about the Service rendered by one such public organization and submit a report to your Scout master within 10 days.
COMMUNICATION:- - Be able to use the PCO and Mobile Phone and be acquainted with some of the facilities available on it.
OUT OF DOORS:- - Know the simple wood Craft sign & follow a trail with his patrol of not less than half a kilometer.
- Know and practice Road safety Rules for pedestrians.
- participate in a Nature study Trail.
