JOTA-JOTI 2022JOTA-JOTI (Jamboree-on-the-Air-Jamboree-on-the-Internet) is the world’s largest digital Scout event taking place on the Internet and over the airwaves. Held every year in October, the event connects millions of young people around the world for a full weekend of online activities that promote friendship and global citizenship. JOTA-JOTI enables young people and volunteers to participate in fun and engaging group activities over the Internet and amateur radio focused on developing 21st century skills through Scouting. In 2022, JOTA-JOTI takes place from 14 to 16 October. The dynamic programme comprised a variety of non-formal education activities, including webinars, global campfires, talent shows, live shows, fun challenges and more through an interactive 3D campsite. JOTA-JOTI aims to support young people of all ages to learn about communications technology, the values of global citizenship, and their role in creating a better world.

SCOUTING SUNRISE DAY –2020 We are happy to inform you that Scouting Sunrise Day -2020hostingby the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka State on behalf of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters. The day is a unique opportunity to show the social force and enormity of Scouting in the world. On 1stAugust 2020, it is hoped that all the present and former Scouts and Guides will be warmly encouraged to join in the celebration, renewing their support and commitment to the Scouting. We have also a great opportunity to introduce more Young People to Scouting and Guiding. Parents of Scouts/Guides, their brothers and sisters should be invited to participate in the activities as well as those not yet involved in Scouting Guiding. The celebrations can support the development and growth of the movement at local, district and state level, encouraging young people to join and motivating adults to give their time and support to Scouting Guiding. August 1, is also celebrating as Scout Scarf Day. All active andformer Scouts Guides are requested to wear their scarf in public to make the “Spirit of Scouting” visible, Once a Scout-always a Scout! The date of the event commemorates the very first Scout Camp on Brown Sea Island in 1907.Of course, the scarf is only a symbol but a strong symbol for the scout promise and for our mission to leave the world as a bit better a place than we had found it. Enclosed herewith an Activity Pack with five activities for the Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers and Unit Leaders. States are requested to circulate it at all level and celebrate the day in your state.
